3 Essential Oils for Yoga

Updated: May 10, 2020

I recently did a poll on Instagram to see how the Joyful World Essentials community felt about yoga. I gave the choice between feeling confident in doing yoga as a part of one's daily routine verses feeling like a newbie. A majority (over 80%) self-identified with the "newbie" category.

I am right there with you feeling like a newbie.

I can get easily overwhelmed with any of the yoga poses even for beginners.

And then I met Simone, owner and founder of Namathrive At Home. She added me to a private coaching group with incredible videos that visually helped explain each and every move. I am currently very pregnant so she reached out to me multiple times to let me know it's okay to modify from her video examples. Simone also has an incredibly helpful app that made following her work out plans very user friendly.

She made me feel confident that I can learn and put my feet back on the mat again.

I loved her class so much that I asked Simone if she would help me collaborate and offer a free Online Yoga + Essential Oil Workshop. The class will be from June 1-5, all hosted in our private Facebook group.

During the class we will teach you how to incorporate yoga and essential oils in your routine. Join Simone for a live 30 minute practice and learn one essential oil tip each day.

Participants will be automatically entered to win exclusive giveaways and a discount for personal yoga training.

If you are new to the blog, you must know that I am an essential oil lover. I joined the Young Living family a few years ago to find natural tools to support my health and home. It's no doubt that essential oils can enhance your yoga routine tremendously.

Here's my top 3 essential oil recommendations to add to your yoga routine:

1. Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense is considered to be incredibly grounding and peaceful for supporting our emotions, immune systems and skin. Diffuse 3-5 drops while practicing yoga, reading your Bible or while you spend time in prayer.

2. Valor Essential Oil

Valor is known as our courage essential oil. Historically, Roman soldiers would apply this oil before going to war. Roll valor on your forearms and feet before, during or after your yoga practice.

3. Vetiver Essential Oil

If you are feeling antsy, Vetiver may support your focus! This essential oil contains a more "woodsy" scent and pairs well with Lavender Essential Oil and Lemon Essential Oil.
