DIY Lavender Bath Salts

One of my favorite daily rituals used to include taking a bath every day.

I know, I am a child. Something about taking a bath everyday is just so relaxing. I grab a book, light a non-toxic candle and use a bath bomb infused with Stress Away Essential Oil if I'm feeling really fancy.

If you are needing a relaxing spa night at home, or a Galentine's Day gift idea - this DIY is for you.

First things first, I always recommend upcycling an old glass jar for any project. You could repurpose pretty much anything laying around your house to make this DIY.

Secondly, make sure you purchase pure unscented epsom salt. Sometimes you have to look down the medical aisle at the store to find it. Avoid any brand that sells epsom salts with added fragrance. Wonder why? Read this article here for more information. You can easily find pure unscented epsom salts at Target, Walmart or Amazon.

The health benefits of soaking in epsom salts are endless. A quick detox bath with epsom salts could help you with sore joints and muscles, reducing swelling, relieve stress, help with constipation and so much more. Read more about the benefits here.

After you've purchased your unscented epsom salts, the next two items you will need include Young Living's Lavender Essential Oil (Not a member yet? Join the community here!) and organic flower buds. I used organic lavender buds in my DIY, but you could use another floral option. I've linked some other ideas in my Amazon storefront if you're curious.

Now you're ready to make your DIY Lavender Bath Salts!

1. Pour unscented epsom salts into a mixing bowl.

2. Add 5-10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil.

3. Mix 1 tablespoon of organic Lavender buds.

Add a cute label and then you're done!

This is one of my favorite gifts to make for Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, baby showers or bridal showers. If you're needing more DIY gift ideas, you could also try gifting DIY Coconut Sugar Scrub or DIY Natural Perfume.
