DIY Throat Spray
Updated: Jul 16, 2020
Anyone else wake up with a sore throat often? For me, it doesn't matter if the season is summer or winter, I still suffer from sore throat issues frequently. I also lead worship at church and singing with a sore throat just isn't fun. I often make Thieves Tea (1-2 drops of Thieves Essential Oil, 1 teaspoon of Organic Honey and hot water) in the fall and winter months to help with my sore throat issues (read more about how to avoid chronic sore throat issues here), but then I had the wonderful idea to make a DIY Throat Spray to have ready for me at home.
Here's what you need:
Step 1: Fill a glass spray bottle with 3/4 full of Thieves Mouthwash.
I'm obsessed with the Thieves Mouthwash. It's natural, plant-based and non-toxic. Are you curious if your mouthwash is toxic? Read here about 4 common toxic ingredients found in mouthwash. Check your mouthwash at home especially for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Saccharin.

Step 2: Add 10 drops of Thieves Essential Oil.
You want to add Theives Essential Oil to this DIY to support your overall healthy immune function. I love to roll Thieves on my feet when I'm feeling like my body is under the weather or make Thieves Tea before I travel (anyone else feel like travel is hard on your body?).
Step 3: Add 10 drops of Copaiba Essential Oil.
Copaiba is a must have for sore throat issues due to the anti-inflammatory support the essential oil brings to my body. Read more information here about the benefits of Copaiba Essential Oil.
Step 4: Add 5 drops of Lemon Essential Oil.
I absolutely love Lemon Essential Oil! This particular essential oil is bright and uplighting for your mood and also great for detoxing the body. Read more information here about the benefits of Lemon Essential Oil.
