Healthy Homemade Frappuccino

I was asked to share one of my go-to smoothie recipes and immediately thought of my Homemade Frappuccino. I've had the most terrible pregnancy heartburn lately and so my usual black coffee hasn't been settling well in my stomach. I find that if I blend the coffee with unsweetened almond milk I digest the coffee better.

My homemade frappuccino is packed with protein (it's recommended to have 75-100 grams during pregnancy) and fiber as well, thanks to Young Living's Balance Complete! This recipe would be the perfect addition to your morning routine before or after a workout. My recipe was the exact amount needed for 2 servings.

Here's what you need:

-8 oz of black coffee (No Coast Coffee if my favorite)

-Unsweetened Almond Milk

-Organic Almond Butter

-Haitian Vanilla (or vanilla extract)

-Balance Compete

-Organic Cocoa (optional)

-Peppermint Essential Oil (optional)

-Ice Cubes

Step 1: Make yourself a delicious No Coast Coffee pour over.

*I tried to find a similar pour over system on Amazon. Ours was made through a friend's kickstater campaign so I can't find the exact same one but there are many similar options available.

Step 2: Cool the coffee before blending with your OYeet blender. It is not made for hot liquids!

Step 3: Add 1 tablespoon of Organic Almond Butter, about 1/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk, 1/2 teaspoon of Haitian Vanilla, 2 scoops of Balance Complete and 1 teaspoon of Organic Cocoa.

Step 4: Add ice cubes until you have the perfect frappuccino texture!

*I used one tray of ice cubes between cooling down the coffee and using the ice cubes to blend.

Step 5: Add 1 drop of Peppermint Essential Oil (optional).

In 10 seconds you can now enjoy the most delicious homemade frappuccino!
