Holiday Gift Guide
Updated: Dec 16, 2019
The Christmas countdown has officially begun!
TWENTY-TWO DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS.
I can get easily overwhelmed by all of the to-do lists that immediately pop into my head after that statement. Anyone else an #ennegram1?!
I may not have my lists done or any Christmas decorations out yet but I DID channel my inner Santa Clause to curate this Holiday Gift Guide. I L-O-V-E giving gifts, but I'm actually not the best at picking out items other people love. My husband on the other hand is a genius when it comes to gift giving and over time I've learned a thing or two from him about picking out the perfect Christmas gift.
Since we've pursued non-toxic living for our home, Young Living gifts and simple DIYs are a frequent theme in our Christmas giving. Giving the gift of wellness and wholesome products is worth every penny!
Here's my top 15 gift ideas for the holidays:
1. DIY Manly Man's Gift Set
This gift is perfect for your dad, Grandpa, uncle or cousin! It includes a manly travel toiletry bag from Target, a Charcoal Bar Soap, and two popular essential oils for guys. Cedarwood Essential Oil is great for cologne, sleep support and skin support. Encourage the guys in your life to diffuse Cedarwood Essential Oil and Orange Essential Oil for sleep support - 5 drops each in the diffuser before bed.
Etsy has lots of essential oil accessories for the men in your life that would be a great addition to this gift set.
2. Stay Hydrated Gift Set
Trying to switch to more sustainable products?
Wanting to drink more water and stay hydrated?
If you've had conversations with friends lately about either of these topics then this is the gift to give!
+ Lime Essential Oil
+Target travel mug (or water bottle)
Other vitality oils that would be great for this gift: Citrus Fresh, Peppermint, Lavender, Orange or Thieves.
3. Homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa
Hot Chocolate lover?
Make your own hot cocoa mix using this recipe:
+1 tablespoon Organic Cocoa
+1 tablespoon Sugar/Stevia
+ Pinch of salt
Add 8 oz of unsweetened almond milk, milk or heavy whipping cream. Heat on the stove. Mix the milk of choice with the dry hot cocoa mix. Add 1 drop of Peppermint Essential Oil to the hot cocoa and stir in. A toothpick works well to add the Peppermint Essential Oil as even one drop can be too strong depending on your preference. This recipe is for one cup of hot cocoa.
Grab a cute holiday mug from Target to go with this gift!
4. Cooking Lover
If you have a family member or friend who always shows up to gatherings with the most delicious contribution, this is the gift for them!
Young Living is the only essential oil company in the world that owns their own farms, is non-gmo certified, organic and FDA compliant to be ingested. I would not recommend cooking and ingested with any other brand of essential oils.
Grab a few vitality oils that are popular for cooking like Peppermint, Nutmeg, Thieves, Orange, Lemon, Oregano, Rosemary, Cinnamon, or Black Pepper and combine with your favorite kitchen accessory. This gift pairs well with a set of wooden spoons from Amazon or my favorite brand of silicone reusable bags, Stasher.
5. The Ultimate Spa Gift Set
Who doesn't love to be pampered during the holidays?! This gift set is a great idea for a momma, sister, bestie or aunt. Mix and match these items to make the perfect gift!
+Very Merry Vanillamint Collection (Body Butter & Sugar Scrub!! SO DREAMY)
+DIY Essential Oil infused Epsom Salts
Keep reading to learn how to DIY your epsom salts into a cute Christmas gift!
6. DIY Bath Salts
Such a cute and practical gift for friends and family! Epsom salts are great for your health and awesome for stress relief.
To infuse your epsom salts, pick up a plain bag without fragrance at your local store. Add 2-4 drops of essential oils (Frankincense, Lavender, Stress Away, Peace and Calming, Calm, or Joy Essential Oil are all great ideas).
Reuse a glass jar from your home or old essential oil bottles to make this gift very affordable!
7. Laundry Gift Set
Did you know that dryer sheets are often incredibly toxic?
Wool dryer balls are a super great low-tox change for your home! Plus, dyer balls can help cut back on the drying time needed for your laundry. This is a great gift for a friend who loves practical gift or for a busy momma who is drowning in laundry - make her life easier with this Christmas gift!
Combine the present with a couple of your favorite holiday essential oils to add that wonderful Christmas smell to your clean laundry. Orange Essential Oil and Christmas Spirit Essential Oil are great to have around the house!
8. Stay Well Gift Set
My favorite part of winter is Christmas and my least favorite part is illness. It seems like everyone is so sick this time of year so there could not be a better gift than a "Stay Well"
Add some local honey to this gift and a cute heartfelt card.
9. Christmas Bath Bombs
One of the ways I really like to relax is with an awesome bath bomb. Turn on the diffuser, light some non-toxic candles, grab a book to read and soon you will feel the stress melt away!
This gift would be so cute wrapped up and given by itself, but it would also be cute with a gift card taped on top!
10. Seedlings Baby Wipes
As a pregnant momma I use these baby wipes ALL the time and the baby isn't even here yet!
These baby wipes make a great gift for a baby shower or a mom-to-be, but they are also awesome for your friends or family members who travel often!
I use the Seedlings wipes to clean my face and
