Toxic Air

Did you know that the air you breathe inside your home is most likely toxic?

Yep. That's right. In our modern times with better insulation we are truly breathing in toxic air regularly.

According to www.bbc.com, "[t]he air we breathe is killing us. The World Health Organization (WHO) says air pollution causes the death of seven million people a year and accounts for a third of fatalities from stroke, lung cancer and heart disease, with more than 90% of children breathing toxic air every day." Read the full article here.

You have several options to help resolve the toxic air issue.

1. Get rid of toxic air fresheners.

Many air fresheners contain volatile organic compounds. Several toxic ingredients often found in air fresheners include acetone, ethanol, d-limonene, pinene, and acetate, according to a 2015 study authored by Steinemann and published in Air Quality, Atmosphere & Health.

2. Diffuse Essential Oils

Aromatherapy is a fantastic solution to help eliminate impurities in the air. Read about 11 hidden benefits of diffusing essential oils here. Essential Oils can help improve the air quality and support overall well being. One of my all time favorites to diffuse is Frankincense Essential Oil. Read about some of the benefits and uses of Frankincense Essential Oil here.

Amazon has some fantastic options for affordable essential oil diffusers.

3. Go outside!

Spend time outdoors. Grab a picnic blanket, walk to your local park and enjoy time in the summertime sunshine. The vitamin D will naturally support your immune system and the fresh air will fill your lungs.
